Hi, I’m Faveola Kett, a Stage and Costume Designer working across theatre, opera, dance and performance. At the centre of my practice is an interest in spatial storytelling, how environments, objects and costumes can create atmosphere, shape experience and make ideas physically tangible.

My process moves between research, conceptual development and working directly in three dimensions. Model making plays a particularly important role in how I explore space, proportion and composition, alongside sketching, technical drawing and hands-on making. I enjoy following an idea from its first visual development through to its physical realisation and working collaboratively with the people and disciplines involved along the way.

I studied Design for Theatre, Film and Performance at the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester, UK, and have since worked across stage and costume design as well as design assistance and associate design for productions at theatres and opera houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

While my practice is rooted in performance, I’m interested in expanding it into new design contexts and interdisciplinary collaborations. I’m particularly drawn to projects where space, visual identity, craftsmanship and experience come together to create a distinct world.
