Hi, I´m Faveola Kett, a set and costume designer from Germany. I was trained in theatre, film and performance design at the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester, England. After finishing my Bachelor's degree with First-Class Honours in 2019, I moved back to Germany, working full-time as a stage design assistant at the Saarländisches Staatstheater in Saarbrücken. Besides learning from and working with different creative teams on opera, theatre and ballet, this job also allowed me to design my first productions like “Elise – An Entire Field of Possibilities”, “Wuthering Heights” and the opera production “Albert Herring”. At the beginning of Season 22/23, I left my permanent job at the theatre and started working as a freelance stage and costume designer. Allowing me to focus on my designs for productions at the Theater Überzwerg, the Saarländische Staatstheater and independent theatres and institutions. Alongside these projects, I´m still taking on assistant jobs which allow me to work in different theatres and gather valuable experiences and contacts for the future.
I´m looking forward to this new Season 24/25 and to taking on new design challenges, finding new theatrical ways to tell stories and working with different creative people.
